BRAVOPRESS

Corrosion-free PPSU press-fitting system

BRAVOPRESS is a range of technopolymer press fittings for the composite pipe system. The PPSU technopolymer fittings do not corrode, and the stainless steel press sleeve gives a fast and reliable press joint. The system combines the mechanical properties of polyphenylsulfone with a light, potable-water-approved construction.

Product information
  • PPSU technopolymer fittings: no risk of dezincification or other metal corrosion
  • The stainless steel press sleeve gives a fast and reliable press joint
  • The twin O-ring profile reveals a leak immediately during pressure testing on unpressed 16–32 mm joints (test pressure 0.5–2 bar)
  • The transparent base ring and the inspection windows in the press sleeve make it easy to check the pipe insertion depth
  • Extremely light construction
  • Withstands the chemical substances most commonly found in water
  • Installed with a portable press tool - press-jaw profiles H, TH, U and C
  • White PPSU body - neat also in surface-mounted installations
Applications: BRAVOPRESS fittings are used with Pexal and Mixal composite pipes in potable water, heating and cooling systems and in industrial systems. The fittings withstand legionella control treatments (thermal or hypochlorite).

MIXAL

Composite potable water pipe · supports legionella control treatment

MIXAL is Valsir's composite pipe system for potable water and heating distribution. The multilayer PE-Xb/Al/HDPE structure combines the flexibility and corrosion resistance of plastic with the dimensional stability and heat and pressure resistance of aluminium. High hygiene level: drinking-water-approved PE-Xb inner layer, and the system is certified for potable water distribution.

Product information
  • The butt-welded aluminium layer gives the pipe permanent oxygen and light tightness and prevents algae growth and corrosion typical of plastic pipes
  • Thanks to the multilayer structure, thermal expansion is about 8 times lower than with plastic pipes and comparable to metal pipes
  • The smoothness of the inner surface (roughness 0.007 mm) prevents limescale build-up and keeps pressure losses low over time
  • Light weight speeds up installation: the pipe weighs 1/3 of the equivalent copper pipe and 1/10 of steel
  • Low thermal conductivity (0.42–0.52 W/m·K) significantly reduces heat losses compared with copper pipes
Applications: MIXAL suits hot and cold potable water distribution and heating systems. Pipes are supplied uninsulated or factory-insulated, for concealed and exposed installations alike.

PEXAL CONNEX-T

Branching a composite pipe without cutting it · main pipes Ø 50 mm - Ø 90 mm

Pexal Connex-T is Valsir's branch fitting for new and existing composite main lines. The branch is made without cutting the pipe and without extra fittings, which shortens installation time, cuts cost and simplifies maintenance. An EPDM seal separates the pipe's aluminium layer from the fitting metal and water; a limiter system prevents over-tightening damage.

Product information
  • Branch into a live line without cutting the pipe
  • Significant material and labour savings versus a conventional branch
  • Tested: DVGW W542, DVGW W534, EN ISO 21003-2, -3 and -5
  • Design life of at least 50 years per EN standards · 95 °C, 10 bar
  • Drinking-water approved, non-toxic, recyclable materials
  • Installed with a portable press tool - press-jaw profiles H, TH, U and C
  • White PPSU body - neat also in surface-mounted installations
Applications Branch connections to Pexal composite mains in potable water, heating and cooling systems - new-build, renovation and industry, especially when adding take-offs to an existing riser or main without shutting down the whole line.
